[30] - Those who can't, teach?

Alucard - Vampire
Remember to meet at 5 'o clock!! See you soon!

( Aaaaand it's off to work for me. As far as the "class" will go, Emi will be teaching Chancery. Your character will want to sit close- she's the shortest of the first years. She'll speak very briefly on the art of writing, mostly its use as a formality now before passing out the five quills [feel free to quarrel amongst yourselves for them ;D] and lined paper and demonstrate each letter in turn on the blackboard and on paper, with everyone else following in turn. Each stroke will be numbered, so if your character is apt to take notes, go for it.

Once the letters have been gone over, she'll have a few simple writing exercises like those in the link above, during which time she'll go around and provide crit. After that, they'll be encouraged to copy out the favourite passage of writing they brought, as something of a pretty keepsake.

And Van Helsing, you're going to be drowned in sweetness. ;D

That's all, then. :) )

I wish it would rain again. :(

The other day I added my wet footprints to the collection on the stones outside the Quad- Filch had me scrub that and the entire corridor down since someone tracked mud in, so I QUITE HOPE you're happy, Mr Anonymous Muddied Git. Despite that, it was still a good day. IIIIII looooooooove stooooorms. The best kind are tangible; you can feel and hear the thrum of all that energy released, and the air has that sharp tang of ozone to it that bites right at the back of your tongue.

Before I've forgotten: those of you who wished to learn calligraphy, fear not! This next Wednesday I would be pleased to teach you the basics. There is an empty classroom in the Charms corridor: I've snooped about and got the okay from all the right people. Meet in there oh, shall we say 5 o' clock?

You will need:

Parchment
Ink
Spare quill
A favoured passage from a book

I have five quills with the necessary nib you will need and these will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis. If there are more than five people in attendance, the odd people out will have to use their normal quills.

I'll see you there!

Tch. Clever Van Helsing. Romania, Romania, meu sanctuar. All Abraham left when he dragged me back here was that small contingent of Vatican operatives to salt the earth. It would make sense for them to keep an eye out there upon his conversion. Still sore that he let the English have their weapon, hahahaha.

Seras will keep her mouth shut. She's her own little secrets aside from this one, and there is still much she needs to learn. Her judgment has been pleasantly sound as of late and there's finally something of that confidence in her step again.

Heh. I wonder...

You're not a virgin anymore, are you?

In answer to your question: other vampiric blood is, by its very nature, not too dissimilar from our own. The farther away from the "ancestor" you travel, the more diluted the bloodline becomes as vampires from one line continue to sire and let their "children" sire others when they are still young to the world. Most solve this problem by culling or simply choosing not to pass on their line except to those select few.

We are parasites. We thrive on the destruction of human life. If we allowed ourselves to make as many of our kind as we pleased, our food source would disappear. And then we would eat our own to survive. <3 Taboo, Seras Victoria, though there is strength to be gained in devouring another vampire.

... several of my classmates seem to have become part-satyr, or at least the brain-stimulator potion-y things Momo mentioned are starting to show some interesting side-effects. The goaty feet are really cute.

It's slipping again. This is not her doing. Something is stretching and holding tenuously, and there is yet more room to walk in the circle inside.

I hear them louder now.

-whiiiiiine-

((Ah, April Fool's. Say hello to Baskerville-Aluhound. S/he is about the size of a small pony oh yes that's very strong indeed. Emilia will be curiously absent today- feel free to speculate on this strange occurrence. Play nice! :D))

A marshmallow chick? Is this Easter or Ostara?

-squish sound, of something soft and sugary getting smooshed by an inquisitive finger-

Huuu, it's sticky.

-swooshy sound of an appendage being shook, in an attempt to dislodge the wayward confection-

... really sticky. Certainly a lot of these things lurking abou- aaaaack!

-muffled screams of outrage and a fair bit of noise that sounds like multiple soft objects being thrown at (and stuck to) a target-

... a little help would be appreciated. I can't see!

((Owing to the fact that she cannot eat them and seems to attract them like flies to honey, Emilia is now completely overtaken in Peeps and is tweaking a little.))

How doth the little crocodile
Improve his shining tail,
And pour the waters of the Nile
On every golden scale!
How cheerfully he seems to grin,
How neatly he spreads his claws,
And welcomes little fishes in,
With gently smiling jaws!

What will you get me for White Day, Walter? Something pretty and shiny and red?

There are a fair amount of clubs starting up, I've noticed. I wonder who would want to see boys dress up as girls when we already have p.r.e.t.t.y gi-irls.

I like the smell of iron gall ink. It's an odd comfort. Would anyone like to learn calligraphy? I can show youuu...  The forms don't take that long to learn- perhaps an afternoon- after that it is only practice.
Alucard - Vampire
It's. Too. Bright.

I'm sick of plastic I'm sick of supper cold and sick of smiling over plates of solid meals and sleeping outside a coffin and enduring lessons and homework and cold, cold blood I'm sick of innocence and order and gossip and children and wands and wards and seals and sigils and cold blood cold cold cold

WALTER!

I need you. Now.

They're too loud.

So who is going to light lanterns with me?
Alucard - Vampire
Starched, clean cotton, sweet tobacco and a hint of ink and gunpowder residue over Yardley of London's almond soap and... hm. Something powdery and soft, and a floral scent I can't identify. And blood. And sun. How can it smell bright?

It smells like her home.

This is a stupid day. And now that Victoria's gone I want Baskerville.

( Strike can be hacked by friends. OoOOoOoh. =0 )

The rats the rats there were rats yesterdaaaaay! I can still hear them here and there, scuttling and scratching and squeaking about. Rats are marvellous creatures, wouldn't you all agree?

The lion plushies were an interesting start to the day. I have named mine Bogdan, for he looks a little cunning but I think the rats may get to him yet, heheh...

One of my ties has been shredded. It's been more than a little amusing to watch my classmates fight off the little dragon beasties- they seem to be particularly fond of green things. I don't mind wearing red until the festivities are over. <3 It is a favourite colour of mine.

ETA AM: OMG. PUPPY!! Puppy puppy puppy!!!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 She is so small and pathetic-looking and whines fit to wake the dead no comments from you, Angel. Other girls seem to have puppies, too. Can we keep them? I will call her Victoria for now.

Woof woof woof, lalalala. <3 <3

Locked up tight except to Walter

I carry no preference for one form or another, as they all have their select purposes depending upon my needs...

but I cannot say it doesn't feel good to return to this shape, if only for a time.

Pity there is no one to glory in it with. .... though I have someone in mind.

Did you enjoy London, Walter?

Single B-class at Covent Garden, roughly at Southampton and Tavistock and heading, it seems, towards Waterloo Bridge. Small body count- only three ghouls. The night is still so young, though, and the local police have apparently responded already- you know what that means.

Fancy a little trip through London this evening, Angel?

Righto, so I'm late since I missed a whole day, grr, but at any rate...

Feel free to ask Emilia/Alucard his opinion on anything under the sun. Global warming, religious cults, those mattress tags you're not supposed to remove under PAIN OF DEATH, his thoughts on yaoi, etc. Really, ask him anything- he's in a solicitous mood. o____O'

Girlycard - Hmm
I have taken it upon myself to be responsible over the holiday and do some reading. However, since I've almost finished my chapters in my textbooks and I've already read the entire contents of the library here, I'm looking for suggestions on new things to read.

Reading level is of no concern to me, though I do get dreadfully bored if the passages are too dry and Sir Hellsing does not approve of me being idle. It causes the staff to worry.

... oh and Walter, I found your cigarettes in the bottom of my trunk. I wonder how they got there. :O

Home.

Home.

Finally home, where I can sleep restfully, uninterrupted by the nightly noises of other children. I shan't be returning to a proper schedule, not during such a quick holiday. Every holiday is quick, but Christmas will pass faster here. Integra Sir Hellsing is, at least, tasteful with her choice of decorations.

It snowed again last night and I could not go out, so I sat in the cellar and sulked a long while before I fell asleep. Now it's midday and the sun is glinting off the snow and it hurts my eyes so I cannot go out again. D:
